A subtle plant, with branching panicles of reflexed 3/4"star-shaped blue flowers, with pale-yellow anthers in early summer, followed by 3/4" long ovoid dark-blue berries. Woodland, or sheltered warm border. Shade. [4'x18"] 122x46cm. Nice!

Dicentra eximea Snowdrift

syn. D eximea alba. Cool-white dangling lockets, complimented by soft gray ferny foliage. Excellent ground-cover. Long flowering period. April/Sept. Supposed to like retentive, well-drained soil. Shade/part-shade. But we find it as tough as old boots, growing almost anywhere, which is most useful. £3.50

Dierama pulcherrimum Snowbells

Syn. D. pulcherrimum album. One year old, un-flowered seedlings from wild seed. Should be milky white bells, but may produce bicolor or pale pink. Time will tell. £4.50

From S African seed. One of the tallest species with pendant pink flowers. Dierama hate disturbance. So plant in a well drained position, that receives summer moisture, and leave well alone. [5-6'] 152-183cm. Unflowered divisions £3.00

This has proved itself reliably perennial in our garden for many years, forming upright spikes, densely packed with small brown flowers with gold lips, over clumps of dark-green foliage. June onwards, but it must have well-drained soil. Sun. [2'] 61cm. £3.50
